About Us

The DuPage Homeowners Authority (DHA) is not a homeowners association (HOA), but a “master association” that is intended to serve as the central authority for homeowners associations throughout DuPage County. Its primary function is to provide oversight and accountability for HOAs in both DuPage County and throughout the Chicagoland area. To achieve this goal, it offers not only products and services, but also provides information and advice regarding homes, home owners, home ownership, homeowners associations, and various home ownership-related subjects to both HOA management and individual homeowners.
History
The DuPage Homeowners Authority was formed in 2022 as a result of our experiences working with a local neighborhood association that thought it was a homeowners association. This was despite the fact that the organization had no employees and owned no homes, with only a skeleton crew of volunteers who barely kept it going.
After years of hard work trying to keep this local institution going, this old neighborhood association was finally dissolved by the state of Illinois in 2022. The DuPage Homeowners Authority was then created partly to replace it, and continues to manage its properties to this day.
New Beginnings
Ironically, our founding story is also a good example of the types of services we provide. In our journey from founding to building, we have picked up some friends along the way who have had similar experiences in similar situations. As a result, we can call upon decades of experience dealing with a wide variety of organizations and situations, and can answer just about any question and create a solution to handle just about any problem.
